Pizza in Zell am See: Papa Rudolfo in Schüttdorf

For pizza in Zell am See, Papa Rudolfo at Hotel Latini welcomes non-residents as well as hotel guests. It is in Schüttdorf, about 3 km from Zell am See station, and open daily from 11.30 am to 10 pm; the kitchen closes at 9.30 pm, pizzas included. This year it closes on 11 October and reopens on 10 December 2026. From about the end of May to mid-September it moves outside into Latini's beer garden.

I'm Ursula Auer. Working in quality management, I am involved in all sorts of things at the hotel: sometimes at reception, sometimes in the office, and really wherever there is something to be done.

What is on the menu, and eating gluten-free

Alongside the pizza, the menu has pasta, burgers, salads and Austrian dishes: useful when not everyone in the group wants pizza.

There are always vegetarian dishes, and vegan alternatives on request. For gluten-free or lactose-free food, let the hotel know before you come, by phone or email (+43 6542 5425, office@latini.at), and if you are hoping for a gluten-free pizza, ask about that specifically.

Staying elsewhere in Zell am See: the bus there and back

From Lake Zell and the Seespitz lido, the hotel is about 15 minutes on foot. Two bus lines run out to Schüttdorf from Postplatz in the town centre and the station forecourt: Line 70, the town bus, and Line 660 towards Kaprun. Both call at several stops in Schüttdorf, so ask the hotel which one to use.

If you are staying elsewhere in the province of Salzburg, your own accommodation's Guest Mobility Ticket covers the bus: it is included in the accommodation rate. It cannot be bought on its own, and it does not cover night buses.

Papa Rudolfo is open until 10 pm (kitchen until 9.30 pm), but the last bus back leaves well before then: if you want a later dinner, arrange another way back. The last buses out and back (timetable valid until 12 December 2026):

  • Line 70: the last bus leaves Zell am See Postplatz at 7.45 pm every day (station forecourt 7.47 pm) and reaches Schüttdorf Areitbahn at 7.57 pm.
  • After 15 October the last bus back into town leaves Schüttdorf Imbachhornstraße at 8.06 pm every day (Line 660) and reaches the station forecourt at 8.11 pm and Postplatz at 8.15 pm. It does not call at Schüttdorf Areitbahn.

For later dates, check the current times on the Salzburg Verkehr pages for Line 70 and Line 660.

Evenings at the hotel: the beer garden in summer and the UNO Bar

In summer Papa Rudolfo moves out onto the terrace of Latini's beer garden, between Hotel Latini and Hotel Der Schütthof, with an outdoor kitchen; after that it moves back indoors. Outside that season the beer garden is closed.

The hotel also has the UNO Bar: cocktails, long drinks, wine and beer, with regular live music in winter.

Working in quality management, I am involved in all sorts of things at the hotel: sometimes at reception, sometimes in the office, and really wherever there is something to be done. For me, Zell am See is not just where I work; it is a place I have grown very fond of, with its mountains, its lake and some truly special moments. My personal highlight: a few runs on the Schmittenhöhe, with the glorious view over Zell am See and the surrounding mountains.
